The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is announcing that 1,143 out of 2,059 passed the various grades of the written phase of the MARINE ENGINEER OFFICERS LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS given by the Board for Marine Engineer Officers in Manila this May 2009.
The results were released after three (3) working days from the last day of examinations.
Registration for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Cards for those who are exempted in the practical assessment will start on Monday, June 1, 2009 until June 10, 2009 in the Central Office; and on Monday, June 1, 2009 until June 8, 2009 in the Regional Offices. Jovie Ann Alawas Decoyna of Baguio Central University topped the board, with 89 percent. Xavier university ranked number one among the schools whose students took the board exams, the results of which were released by the PRC Friday. T

Graduates of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy dominated the top slots in the Chief Engineer Licensure Examination, Second Engineer Licensure Examination and O.I.C. Licensure Examination.
